His grandfather was a dentist who worked on notables such as Race Beamer of early radio fame and baseball Hall of Famer Ty Cobb. Dick passed around for viewing some very old stock certificates that aren’t worth anything but the stamps on them could be worth a lot. His high school is closed and his rivers were the Detroit & Rusch rivers. Dick joined Sertoma in 1980 and has served in many of the club offices including President in 1986, Treasurer, etc. Dick has been married to Linda since 1970 and they have a daughter and a son plus two grandkids. They moved to Colorado in 1973. He earned an accounting degree at Kalamazoo U. Dick had no military.
